JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The Sales and Marketing Administrator is responsible for managing our annual marketing calendar, managing our market intelligence activities, and providing inside sales support and adminstrative support to the CEO.

While this is posted as a remote position, working out of the office a few days a week is expected.  Flex hours are possible.  Office location:  Ann Arbor, Brighton, or Bloomfield, MI (TBD).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in related discipline (sales, marketing, business preferred).

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar administrative role.

  • Experience in a start-up is a plus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the annual marketing calendar and budget thereof, including all conferences, collateral materials, and digital activities.

  • Continue to build our market intelligence through the maintenance of our customer lists, marketing information and analytics.

  • Schedule and coordinate participation at events and conferences, including presentation. abstracts, logistics of show materials and booth items, rental items, carpets, networks, etc.

  • Develop and implement email newsletters and manage marketing SEO and digital advertising campaigns as determined by the marketing calendar.

  • Maintain the inventory of promotional items, shipping to recipients as required.

  • Assist with the preparation of sales quotations, sales, and marketing presentations.

  • Coordinate sales activities with the finance and operational teams to ensure a smooth sales process.

  • Accept specific projects as assigned.

  • Administrative support for CEO, including scheduling, email, and other administrative support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Attention to detail, superior organization, and a commitment to high quality work is a must.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) skills with the ability to quickly adopt new software tools and applications

  • Ability to work proactively and independently in a team environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and short turnaround times.

  • Fearless ability to comfortably and professionally interact, and possibly cold-call customers, to support sales and market activities.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines and exceed key performance indicators.

  • Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure, comfortable in fast-paced high growth start-up environment.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.  

  • Occasional travel to conferences may be required.
