In December 2022, the US EPA approved OTM-51/ALT-150 for quarterly surface emissions monitoring (SEM). The method features the SnifferDRONE™ - a unmanned aerial system (UAS), commonly referred to as drone, used as an automation tool to precisely and effectively identify methane leak locations. The method combines automation and manual verification to substantially reduce labor, identify leak sources, and improve quality of the overall operation.
