Sniffer Robotics' Featured in Waste360 Article

Updated: Aug 18, 2020

Waste360, the leading media provider to over 90,000 professionals in the solid waste, recycling, organics and sustainable communities, featured Sniffer Robotics' in an article published January 29, 2019.

The article, titled "Will Evolving Drones Shape Future Landfill Operations?", provided information on Sniffer Robotics' patent-pending technology to automate surface emissions monitoring for the benefits of safety, accuracy and overall efficiency. Sniffer Robotics' technology utilizes a closed-loop methane (CH4) detector mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) platform. An air collection hose extends from the UAV to the ground surface to collect near-ground air samples that are measured on-board the UAV. The system is designed to be equivalent to the current EPA prescribed method (Method 21) for surface emissions monitoring in the solid waste industry.

David Barron, Sniffer Robotic's CTO was interviewed for the article.
